How the great images of the 20th century made it to front pages around the globe

Rob Taggart will discuss the pre-digital era of how international photo agencies covered the news and what it took to get their many historic images of the century into newspapers – in some cases these Iconic photographs were the catalyst for changing the course of history.

The international news agencies were the only avenue for instant photo distribution for the major part of the 20th century. It wasn’t until the advent of professional digital cameras in the late 1990’s that this changed. Comparison’s with equipment and technology then and now will be discussed and along with the benefits and risks.
