Saturn reaches opposition when the planet is positioned directly opposite the Sun from Earth’s perspective, allowing it to appear brighter and more visible in the night sky. This astronomical event provides an excellent opportunity to observe Saturn’s distinctive rings and moons through telescopes. Set beneath Mleiha’s desert skies, guests can enjoy an evening of astronomy with guided celestial observations, an informative presentation, dinner, and telescope viewing of Saturn and other visible celestial objects.

Please note:Guest are allowed to bring their own food also if they do not want to avail at extra cost.
Dress Code: Comfortable clothing suitable for outdoor evening activities in the desert.
Photography: Photography is allowed, but please be mindful of other guests during telescope observation sessions.
Arrival: Please arrive on time to fully enjoy the scheduled activities.
Weather: The event is subject to weather conditions. In the case of adverse weather, the event may be rescheduled or canceled.
Child Rate Policy:
Adult Rate: 11 years and above
Child Rate: 5 years to 10 years
Free Access: For children below the age of 4 years (additional charge applies for food if required)
Health & Safety: Follow all safety guidelines provided by the event organizers. Mleiha Archaeological Centre reserves the right to modify the program based on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
Cancellations made 72 hours or more before the event start time are eligible for a 100% refund
Cancellations made between 24 to 72 hours before the event start time are eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the event start time are non-refundable.
No-shows will be treated as cancellations with no refund applicable.
Please note that the Saturn opposition is a fixed-date public event and cannot be rescheduled by guests, as it is tied to a specific astronomical occurrence.
In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the Organizer’s control, including but not limited to adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, or government restrictions, Mleiha National Park reserves the right to cancel the event. In such cases, guests will be offered either a full refund or a credit voucher redeemable against other activities at Mleiha National Park.
Please note that variations in weather conditions or natural visibility may affect the viewing experience; however, this shall not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund if the event proceeds as scheduled.
All cancellation requests must be submitted to us via email. Refunds are processed via bank transfer and may take up to 21 working days to reflect once processed
By Car: Mleiha Archaeological Centre is located in the heart of Sharjah's central region. It’s approximately a 1-hour drive from Dubai. Ample parking is available on-site.
By Public Transport: Public transport options are limited. It is recommended to drive or hire a taxi for a more convenient and direct journey.
By Organized Shuttle: Check with Mleiha Archaeological Centre if a shuttle service is available for the event.
