The Sharjah Light Festival has now grown into one of the emirate’s most anticipated events, welcoming more than 800,000 visitors in its previous edition and continuing to attract an impressive flow of visitors each year.

The festival blends creative and innovative light technology, artistic ingenuity, and exclusively composed music, featuring masterful illuminations projected onto Sharjah’s most iconic landmarks.

Each edition features works by international artists and adopts a unique theme that ties together the various light displays and installations, many of which are interactive, poetic, and inspired by local culture, traditions, and stories, while others explore nature, modern art or digital expressions.

The Light Village opens its doors as a vibrant hub offering an engaging experience of F&B, retail, entertainment, games zone, light installations, and more.

Visitors can wander through a mix of interactive experiences, food concepts and retail offerings.

The growing variety of participating vendors each year reflects the Village’s popularity as a welcoming space for both emerging and established concepts.

Use of drones is Strictly prohibited, Unless authorised
Lighting fires or using fire lighting equipment is not allowed (lighters must be disposed off before entering the Light Village)
No laser equipment allowed
No food from outside allowed
Professional cameras and tripods are not allowed, unless authorised
Bikes, scooters, rollerblades and hoverboards are prohibited
Pets are not allowed
Smoking is Strictly prohibited within the area, including electronic smoking
Children under 12 are not permitted in the Light Village unless accompanied by an adult
Please dispose of trash in the waste bins provided
Picnic rugs, chairs and tables are not allowed within the Light Village
Please wear respectful clothing (No shorts allowed) / Dress above knee not allowed to enter

Entry Is Permitted From The Time The Doors Open At 17:00.
Strictly No Re-Entry Is Allowed.

By car: There are many ways to reach your destination including heading along Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Road (S116), exiting toward University City and Ardh Al Ma’ahed, and continuing through the roundabouts toward University City Hall. GPS navigation is highly advised.

By taxi: You can easily reach your destination by taking a taxi or by using a ride-hailing app.
