Rest Upon the Wind,A Play Inspired by the Life and Times of Gibran Kahlil Gibran

For the first time in the UAE, the Al Qasba Theatre will host the Arabic version of the theatrical stage play, Rest upon the Wind. Written by Nadim Sawalha, and inspired by the life of the Arab literary legend and philosopher, Gibran Khalil Gibran, the play will offer the audience the opportunity to gain insight into one of the greatest icons of our time. It also depicts his personal relationships, anecdotes, nostalgic moments and his emotional pain and suffering from being away from his homeland. The play highlights the struggle in Gibran’s life, as he strived to spread his message of peace and love to the world, something he did in his famous book, 'The Prophet'. It also sheds light on Gibran’s relationship with the people who had the strongest influence on his life and personality.
